"in the spring of 2016, eight of us came together to create photographs and to write long-form nonfiction about people and places beyond our immediate experience. we aimed to explore the ways in which photography and writing could inform, inspire, and complement each other as we learned about our subjects and plumbed our connections to them. after many interviews, attempted, drafts, and exposed frames of film," 

i offer here some of my findings.
